The National Teacher Platform (NTP) called "Diksha" is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India. It is a cutting-edge platform built to host open educational resources (OER) and tools for teachers in schools, teacher trainers in teacher training institutes (TEI), and teaching students in TEI.

It is built considering the entire teacher life cycle, from the moment future teachers enroll in TEIs until after their retirement as teachers. Teachers in schools can use curriculum-linked resources to prepare for class or use them to teach in class, while teacher educators in TEIs can use them to provide blended training.

TEI teacher students and contract teachers will be able to take courses on the NTP to prepare for the TET and/or earn the Cluster & Block certification Resource staff may use standardized observation tools on the NTP to provide training support based on the needs of teachers and make the continuous analysis of training needs
The NTP infrastructure shared among many states will avoid duplication of effort and save costs.

Teachers will have access to their own personalized workspace where they can plan and track their progress, including courses completed, performance on tests, and more.
