In this scheme, 25,000 new students brilliants are selected every year and fetch Rs. 22,000 per year during the studies of class 9 to 10 and a scholarship of Rs 25,000 per year during the studies of class 11 to 12.
Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Scheme:
For that, the new 'Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Scheme' was implemented to select the bright Gujarat students from the said state and award them scholarships to study in independent schools of their choice from class 9 to 12.
It is decided to take the “Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Program 2026" conducted by the State Examination Board (SEB) for this Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Scheme. This test will be carried out as follows.

Gyan Sadhana Scholarship ProgramEligibility to take the Test
➡️ have studied in public or subsidized primary schools consecutively from class 1 to 8 and are studying or passing class 8;
EITHER
➡️ subject to the provisions of Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act 2009, up to 25% of the students admitted to Class I at that time who are studying for or have passed Class VIII,
➡️ and in the case of (a) and (b) above whose guardian's income is below the income limit prescribed for admission under Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act, 2009 is currently Rs. 1,50,000 (one lakh fifty thousand) and for rural area Rs. 1,20,000 (One Lakh Twenty Thousand) students will be able to take the test.

Gyan Sadhana Scholarship ProgramTest structure
➡️ The entrance exam will have a multi-choice and multi-purpose format (based on MCQ-based multiple-choice questions).
➡️ The access test questionnaire will be 120 points and the duration will be 150 minutes.
➡️ The medium of the entrance examination will be in Gujarati/English language.
➡️ The entrance exam will have the following subjects and grades.

In case of equal merit of the students, the State Board of Examinations will have the final authority to decide the method of preparation of the selection list.

Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Program Syllabus
➡️ The 40 questions of the MAT' Mental Aptitude Test will be verbal and non-verbal logical reasoning. These questions will have topic based questions on analogy, classification, number series, pattern perception, hidden figure.
➡️ The 80 questions of SAT Scholastic Aptitude Test will include Mathematics-20 marks, Science-20 marks and Social Science-15 marks, English-10 marks, Gujarati-10, Hindi-5 marks Class-8 subjects.
The class-8 curriculum will be from the previous subject.
Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Program Exam Center
➡️ The test/exam centers will be decided by the State Board of Examinations, Gandhinagar in that taluka in the state of Gujarat according to the number of students registered for the exam and exam oriented administrative expediency. The student has to appear for the exam at the exam center assigned by the board in his/her charge.

💡 Scholarship Benefits
If selected based on the merit of the entrance exam (120 marks MCQ test), students receive:
Grades 9–10: ₹22,000 per year (for self-financed schools) or ₹6,000 (for Government/Aided).
Grades 11–12: ₹25,000 per year (for self-financed schools) or ₹7,000 (for Government/Aided).
A student can take the entrance exam in the medium of her choice, between Gujarati or English.
