Gujarat schools will open from July 26 for classes 9 to 11
Schools in Gujarat are scheduled to open for students in classes 9 to 11 from July 26, according to directives from the state government.
According to the official statement issued by the Gujarat government, schools in the states will reopen for students in classes 9 to 11 as of July 26,2021, with various Covid-19 safety guidelines set by the authorities.
Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, while addressing the press, confirmed the date of the reopening of schools for students in classes 9 to 11. He also confirmed that schools will reopen taking into account the current Covid situation -19.
Schools in Gujarat have been closed for all classes since March 2020 in view of the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country and the gradual extension of the national lockdown by the central government.
Since the closure of the schools, all studies have been conducted through online classes that are conducted through digital platforms. Many students have filed complaints about not being able to attend classes online due to lack of financial stability and resources.
Schools open for classes 9 to 11 students
Although the decision to reopen schools for students in classes 9 and 11 was announced today, the Gujarat government has already reopened schools for students in classes 10 and 12 across the state.
Schools for students in classes 10 and 12 reopened in Gujarat on January 11, 2021, almost 10 months after the closure of schools across the state. Since then, students in these classes have come forward for physical lessons on the school premises.
All students and staff have been asked to wear a face mask on school premises and wash their hands regularly to avoid infection. Strict social distancing is also maintained in all common areas and the seating arrangements in the classrooms have been modified to avoid overcrowding.
The schools have reopened for students in classes 10 and 12 earlier than any other class in view of upcoming board examinations. The dates for the CBSE 2021 board exams have been published and exams will start from May 4 for both classes.
